Description

These Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that combines the rich taste of peanut butter with gooey chocolate chips in a soft, chewy cookie bar. Perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth!

Ingredients

1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the peanut butter, butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and beat until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared baking pan, pressing it down gently.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bars cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use smooth or crunchy peanut butter depending on your preference.
  • Allow the bars to cool completely to ensure clean, even cuts when serving.
