Description

Soft, chewy cookies with white chocolate chips and a dusting of powdered sugar, perfect for cozy winter days and holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the white chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack.
  10. Once completely cool, dust the cookies with powdered sugar for a snowy finish.

Notes

  • Ensure the butter is softened to room temperature for easier mixing.
  • Do not overbake the cookies to maintain their soft and chewy texture.
  • Store in an airtight container to keep them fresh longer.
