Description

1 large cucumber

1 ½ cups Greek yogurt (preferably 2% or 5% fat)

1 garlic clove, finely minced

1 tablespoon  lemon juice

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

Kosher salt, to taste

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste


Instructions

Instructions:

  1. Grate the cucumber on the large side of a box grater.

  2. Place the grated cucumber in a paper towel and squeeze out the excess moisture.

  3. Transfer the cucumber to a medium-sized bowl.

  4. Add the Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, fresh dill, salt, and pepper to the cucumber.

  5. Mix thoroughly until combined.

  6. Chill the tzatziki sauce in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  7. Serve with fresh veggies, pita, or as a topping for meats.

Notes

  • Storage: Tzatziki sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Stir before serving if separation occurs.
