3-4 pearl onions

2 tbsp olive oil

  3. Peel and thinly slice the pearl onions. Lightly brush the sliced onions with olive oil.

  4. Once the crust is pre-baked, pour the cheese and egg mixture into the tart shell, spreading it evenly.

  5. Arrange the sliced onions over the cheese mixture, oiled side up. Sprinkle with black pepper.

  6. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes at 200°C (390°F), or until golden and set.
