Description

Decadent blondies with a gooey Nutella center, drizzled with salted caramel sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth and combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and whisk until well incorporated.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out evenly.
  7. Gently spoon Nutella in dollops over the batter and use a knife or spoon to swirl it into the batter slightly.
  8. Pour the remaining batter over the Nutella and smooth it out to cover.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Drizzle the salted caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle with sea salt.
  11. Allow the blondies to cool completely before cutting into squares.

  • If you prefer a stronger caramel flavor, add a bit more salted caramel sauce drizzle before serving.
