Description

A homemade version of Longhorn Steakhouse's popular parmesan chicken featuring crispy breaded chicken topped with melted cheese.


Ingredients

4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless.

1 cup bread crumbs.

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese.

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.

1/2 cup all-purpose flour.

2 large eggs.

1/4 cup milk.

2 cloves garlic, minced.

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning.

1/2 teaspoon salt.

1/4 teaspoon black pepper.

2 tablespoons olive oil.


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix breadcrumbs, half the Parmesan, and seasonings in one dish. Beat eggs and milk in another dish. Put flour in a third dish.
  2. Dredge chicken in flour, then egg mixture, then breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Cook chicken in olive oil for 3-4 minutes per side until golden. Transfer to a baking dish.
  4. Mix remaining Parmesan with mozzarella and garlic. Top chicken and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
