Description
This Honey Cinnamon Brioche French Toast is a decadent breakfast featuring buttery brioche slices soaked in a sweet cinnamon and honey batter, grilled to golden perfection, and served with honey and powdered sugar.
Ingredients
4 slices brioche bread
2 large eggs
1/4 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoons butter, for cooking
Powdered sugar, for serving
Extra honey, for drizzling
Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Dip each slice of brioche bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated. Allow any excess to drip off before placing the bread onto the skillet.
- Cook the brioche slices for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the French toast from the skillet and set aside. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the pan and repeat with the remaining slices of bread.
- Serve the French toast warm, drizzled with extra honey and dusted with powdered sugar.
Notes
- Use fresh, thick slices of brioche for the best results.
- Adjust the level of sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- Serve with fresh fruit or whipped cream for added variety.
- Double the recipe for additional servings.
