- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- ¾ cup milk
- ½ cup chopped onion
- Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
- 3 cups peeled and thinly sliced potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion softened. Drain excess grease.
- In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Add half of the cooked beef mixture, followed by half of the soup mixture. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
- Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for another 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
