Description

Creamy, flavorful shrimp sautéed in a zesty lemon Parmesan sauce, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return the shrimp to the skillet, toss to coat with the sauce, and cook for 1-2 minutes to heat through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
