  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

For the Chili Chicken:

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, diced
  • 1 tablespoon (16g) chili oil
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ cup (60g) sweet chili sauce, plus more for serving

Instructions

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Brussels Sprouts:

    • Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts.
    • Toss with olive oil, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  2. Air Fry the Brussels Sprouts:

    • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
    • Add the Brussels sprouts to the basket and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Season the Chicken:

    • While the Brussels sprouts cook, coat diced chicken with chili oil.
    • Add ground ginger, garlic powder, chili powder, and kosher salt. Mix well.
  4. Cook the Chicken and Brussels Sprouts Together:

    • After 10 minutes, add seasoned chicken to the air fryer basket with the Brussels sprouts.
    • Air fry for another 10-12 minutes at 400°F, stirring halfway, until the chicken reaches 160°F-165°F.
  5. Add Sweet Chili Sauce:

    • Stir in ¼ cup sweet chili sauce.
    • Air fry or broil for 1-2 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  6. Serve:

    • Serve hot with rice, sesame seeds, lime wedges, and extra sweet chili sauce if desired.

Notes

  • For milder heat, use regular olive oil and reduce chili powder.
  • Swap chicken for shrimp, tofu, or thinly sliced beef for variation.
  • For extra crispiness, toss Brussels sprouts with cornstarch before air frying.
